Wanna One, the new boy band composed of the Top 11 winners in the survival Korean TV program "Produce 101" have signed commercial endorsement deals and started preparing for their eventual debut.
The temporary boy band, which will be holding activities until December 2018, is composed of Kang Daniel, Lee Dae Hwi, Kim Jae Hwan, Ong Sung Woo, Park Woo Jin, Lai Guan Lin,Yoon Ji Sung, Hwang Min Hyun, Bae Jin-young and Ha Sung Woon.
They have signed their first endorsement deal with cosmetics brand Innisfree and have reportedly signed another seven advertising contracts.
"Wanna One was selected as the models as their distinct personalities and unique charm will be able to highlight the masks strengths better than anyone else. We expect to see their chemistry that has already been shown through ′Produce 101 Season 2,′" said an Innisfree representative, according to MWave.
Wanna One will headline a concert together with other trainees on July 1 and 2 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul.
YMC Entertainment, the agency that will handle Wanna One, met with the 11 winners on June 18 to discuss their activities. The boy band's debut album is scheduled to be released in August, YMC said.
Wanna One will also have their own reality TV show and will be appearing on "SNL Korea," other news reports stated.
Under the agreement, all the 11 winners are forbidden from doing activities outside their official schedule. Hwang Min Yun, for example, cannot join NU'EST in their activities until December next year.
Meanwhile, those who didn't make it to the Top 11 are also preparing for their own careers.
Kim Samuel, who finished in the Top 20, will be making his solo debut soon, according to his agency Brave Entertainment.
Contestant Yoo Hwi Seung has been added as the fifth member of FNC Entertainment's boy band N.Flying.
Youngest contestant Lee Woo Jin will be appearing in a music video of singer Clon.
