The year-long wait is over, and the Oscar Sunday (Monday for Singapore) is here again.

The 88th Academy awards are set to take place Sunday night, February 28, at Dolby Theaters Hollywood, where the best of the movies worldwide as well as actors and technicians will be feted.

And playing his second innings for Oscars, it will be Chris Rock who will grace the grant event as the host.

The Oscars ceremony and the red carpet footage will be live-streamed on the official Oscars website. To watch Oscar 2016 live online, click here.

Oscar 206 ceremony will also be live-streamed on the WATCH ABC app. Click here to watch the event live.

The red carpet coverage begins at 7 pm EST. The awards ceremony will start at 8:30 pm EST.

The highlights of the event will be Rock's opening monologue, the arrival of stars at the glamrous ceremony and the Academy Awards show itself.

The live performances at the show includes those by Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Sam
Smith and Dave Grohl.

If you are in Singapore, you can relieve yourself of all your Monday blues by watching 88th Annual Academy Awards on HBO (StarHub TV Channel 601) on Monday, 7:30 am onwards. HBO Asia will be live airing from the Oscar's red carpet to the full streaming of the event.

Leonardo Dicaprio's The Revenant has received 12 nominations in varied categories, while Mad Max: Fury road has received 10. In Leading Actor category, its Leonardo Dicaprio ; The Revenant, Bryan Cranston Matt Damon; The Martian, , Michael Fassbender; Steve Jobs and Eddie Redmayne for The Danish Girl in the winning race.
