The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) announced that star Park Seo-Joon will be cast along with Kim Ji-Won in a new drama called titled "Third-Rate My Way". Korean news outlet Osen also reported that an official from the national public broadcaster said that both the actors have even signed on to star in the new drama. The script is to be written by Im Sang-Choon and it will be directed by Lee Na-Jeong, whose is known the hit 2015 drama "Oh My Venus."
The story of the upcoming drama revolves around the various kinds of challenges two ordinary individuals face in a society where the educational qualification of the individual matters the most.
Park is to play the role of Ko Dong-Man, who is a former taekwondo athlete and now is a contract employee. He later gathers the courage to join the UFC league and becomes a professional martial artist.
On the other hand, Kim plays the role of an ambitious woman, Choi Ae-Ra, who works at a department store in the information desk. The actress chases her dream to become a renowned news anchor but fails almost every test. Fate brings Ko Dong-Man and Choi Ae-Ra together.
No more details about the project it revealed yet, but it is confirmed that the "Third-Rate My Way" is scheduled to air on KBS starting in May.
Meanwhile, Park represented the popular American apparel brand, Tommy Hilfiger. He has become the first Asian model to do so. "Park Seo Joon fits well with the simple and dandy image that our brand desires," a representative from the fashion brand told All Kpop.
The representative further added, "We look forward to the synergy that 'Tommy Hilfiger' will create with Park Seo Joon, who's a trending actor with great popularity and influence in the Asian market."
