The world lost one of its music jewels with legendary American music super star Prince leaving rhe scene. The one-man band army and the pioneer of Minneapolis sound, Prince Roger Nelson, was found dead at his Paisley Park recording studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota on Thursday.
"It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57," his publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said in her statement. "There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time."
While the official statement has not been released yet, it is reported that the singer was down with flu and had been briefly hospitalized in Illinois last week.
In some of the previous citings from renowned Grammy Winner, the singer was seen performing at one of his concert in Atlanta few days back. Although, the Purple rain singer had cancelled two concerts in the city due to illness, he did present a smashing show on April 14th, which will now be remembered as Prince's last act of performance.
Prince was renowned as an innovator and was widely known for flamboyant stage presence,. He served as a major figure in popular music for over three decades. His music combined rock, R&B, soul, funk, hip hop, disco, psychedelia, jazz, and pop.
