The gala MTV Video Music Awards 2017 was nothing short of visual extravaganza at the fabulous Los Angeles arena. Pretty lady Katy Perry hosted the show with her wits and jokes while Kendrick Lamar's "Humble" dominated the night with sweeping away almost all the major awards including the Video of the Year. This year, the show also added up a new category, Best Fight Against The System.
The most-awaited moment of the night was the world premiere of Taylor Swift's video single "Look What You Made Me Do." Other rocking performances for the night was lead by Lamar, Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Rod Stewart featuring DNCE, Demi Lovato, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Fifth Harmony, Shawn Mendes, Lorde, and others.
One of the most highlighting moment was the presence of Susan Bro, mother of Heather Heyer, who was killed this month while protesting against the white-supremacist in Charlottesville, Va. An article on LA Times described, "She was even introduced by Robert Lee IV — a descendant of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee — who said his ancestor had become an idol of white supremacy and hate. Lee went on to describe racism as America's original sin."
