Australian model Miranda Kerr revealed she is close to her former husband, Orlando Bloom. The model admitted that she and the 39-year-old English actor share a strong bond with each other despite the split.
During an interview with People, Kerr said: "We're a modern family."
"Orlando and I are literally like family, he's like a brother to me. It's very weird, but we really care for each other and we have a great relationship, so I feel very lucky," she added.
In 2013, Bloom and Kerr shocked everyone when they said they have split after six years of marriage. Kerr has a six-year-old son Flynn with the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
The two have moved on in their love life. Kerr is now engaged to Snapchat billionaire Evan Spiegel and Bloom is reportedly planning to propose marriage to Katy Perry.
Bloom had previously opened up about his split with Kerr, during an appearance on Katie. He told Katie Couric: "Life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for."
"We love each other. We're a family. We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives," he added, "There's no question that for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn."
