Australian actress Margot Robbie is the latest celebrity to be blamed for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce. The 26-year-old actress had made a cameo appearance in the 52-year-old actor's 2015 film, The Big Short.
According to a report in Hollywood Life, Pitt went ahead and worked with Robbie, ignoring Jolie's wishes. A source said: "Even though she tried many times, Angelina was not able to block Brad from working with Margot. Brad went behind Angelina's back and used his Hollywood connections to get Margot a short cameo in the film he produced, The Big Short."
"Brad has had his eyes on Margot for years," the insider added. "He jumped at the chance of working with her so he could spend time with the actress he's had a bit of a crush on."
Brangelina fans around the world were shocked after Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on 19 September citing irreconcilable differences.
Meanwhile, Marion Cotillard was also blamed for the couple's separation. The French actress and Pitt had worked together in the spy thriller Allied, and unfortunately, the Macbeth star's name was dragged into their split.
In an interview on The Today Show, the pregnant actress responded to rumours that they were having an affair. She said: "I never take anything personally when it doesn't concern me. So I didn't take it personally because I had nothing to do with those rumors or situation... I don't give energy to this."
