South Korean comedian Lee Se Young will be back to the hit comedy variety program SNL Korea. The producers of SNL Korea 9 officially announced thatthe 24-year-old artist will be returning to the show.
The official statement read: "Hello, this is the producers. After a long time of thought, the producers of 'SNL Korea 9' decided to work with Lee Se Young for season 9. The producers had many discussions in the process of preparing for the new season and came to an agreement to work with Lee Se Young who has long been with us since SNL Korea 5."
"Lee Se Young with great affection for 'SNL' accepted the producers' offer after a long discussion. The producers of 'SNL Korea 9' and Lee Se Young promise to go back to our original roots and greet viewers with more maturity."
"Furthermore, we will use viewers' voice as motivation and be more cautious in producing. We will work hard to provide laughter with the best content," the note concluded.
Se Young left SNL Korea in November 2016 after being accused of sexually harassing male idols on the show. At that time, Lee Se Young posted a handwritten apology to B1A4 following the incident. She wrote: "Hello, this is Lee Se Young. I apologize for worrying everyone with my wrongful actions. I personally apologized to each individual member on set, and with this letter, I want to once again apologize to all the fans and B1A4 members. I'll reflect on my actions time and again so that something like this does not happen again. I sincerely apologize."
Se Young was investigated by the police and was found innocent of all charges. SNL Korea Season 9 will begin airing in March.
