Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun will reportedly start the shoot soon for Park Ji Eun's new drama. The duo will head to Palau and Spain for filming Legend of the Blue Sea.
In the show, the 34-year-old actress will reprise the role of a mermaid. A source told Soompi: "The two of them are going to Palau and Spain for overseas filming of SBS's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Legend of the Blue Sea.'"
"[They] will leave for Palau late August and go to Spain in September. Since the content of the drama involves exotic coasts and the title itself includes blue sea, they are leaving to film overseas," the insider added.
Ji Eun reportedly wrote the story keeping Min Ho and Ji Hyun in mind. The production company, Culture Depot, stated: "From the beginning stages, writer Park Ji Eun created characters matching Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Min Ho, thinking of them as the best couple. The lead actors also decided to work on the drama because they believe in the writer and the director. You can look forward to their chemistry, which will be beyond one's imagination."
The Legend of the Blue Sea is expected to air on SBS on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 22:00 (KST) in November 2016.
