Dubbed "Nation's fairy," Lee Hyori recently opened up on details of her married life while appearing on the July 5 episode of MBC's 'Radio Star,' titled "Boss Sisters~ Legendary Sisters!" She also asked viewers of her program 'Hyori's Homestay,' not to compare their husbands to Lee Sang-soon.

As noted by website Soompi, singer and actress Lee Hyori was quite aware of her husband Lee Sang-soon being hailed as the "national husband" due to his perfect image on 'Hyori's Homestay.'

She said: "I heard that a lot of household wives are telling their husbands to do better after watching the program. But my husband doesn't work. He wakes up late in the morning, drinks some tea, plays the guitar. Living a life like this, he naturally helps out with housework and doesn't complain. However, other husbands go out to earn money, so you shouldn't compare. Lee Sang Soon is just someone who is a good fit with me."

While many may balk at the idea of a home-bound husband who doesn't work outside, it's just a matter of perspective. After all, nobody has a problem with stay-at-home wives. What is more important is Lee Sang-soon helps out his celebrity wife a lot. "Lee Sang Soon is someone who fits well with me. He doesn't have emotional ups and downs. Unlike him, my emotions are like a rollercoaster and I think the reason I've been able to stay popular in the entertainment industry is because I'm sensitive to things like that and able to keep on top of trends," Lee Hyori added. This is why he has earned the title "national husband."

Lee Hyori added, "If you don't earn money and live a comfortable life, it's possible to live like this. There are some people who feel a sense of shame watching the show, saying, 'I'm so jealous of that couple.' 'How are they so nice to each other?' I was actually most worried about that. If a dual career family comes home after getting harassed by their boss at work, there's no way they'd be able to say anything nice at home. So don't tell each other, 'Why can't you do that for me?' Instead, try to think of the person who has come home after working all day."

The singer, who recently released her long-awaited album 'Black,' however said, "[My husband] does get angry sometimes. Sometimes while driving and sometimes when someone is bothering me. He has a strong protective instinct towards his family. I think he doesn't get angry often because his parents have a good relationship. He says he's never seen them fight. In general, he doesn't get angry. I get angry a lot so it balances out."

The actress and record producer also shed some light on her husband and her personalities, "I have more of a 'masculine' personality and my husband is more 'feminine'. "I will go to the bathroom with the door open but my husband always needs to go to a different room. One thing I've realised is that a person will always be that person. It's the same whether it's a man or a woman. You can't expect someone to completely change who they are."

She also added that being the dominant figure, she's the head of her household, while her husband has had no problems with it, especially due to his easygoing nature. "My husband has an easygoing image but it suits me. He goes out and DJs at places where nobody goes but I'm okay with it. I have a lot of money. My husband makes enough to support his interests. He doesn't need to go all-out to support the family," she said.

Lee Hyori revealed that she thinks "all men are the same" and that a woman should enter into a marriage with full knowledge of that, so that she doesn't have false expectations.

The singer also revealed that during her Fin.K.L. days, she was very different from the rest of the group, who "didn't drink, and even when they dated, they were very careful about it." She added that her agency had also asked her to not wear revealing clothes which showed off her curves.

However, Lee Hyori was finally able to show off her enviable physique in her solo album 'Stylish...E.' Her single "Hey Girl" was even banned by some networks due to its alleged sexual imagery. "Why can't I show what I want to show? The song is about seducing someone in 10 minutes, but I have to cover myself up? That doesn't make sense. To express the song, the outfit has to follow suit," she said.

Her sixth studio album 'Black' was released on July 4. Watch the music video for the title track below.
