A source from King Kong Entertainment, Jo Yoon-hee's agency, stated officially, "Jo Yoon Hee and Lee Dong Gun held a private, small wedding ceremony with family members from both sides in Seoul. They had the opportunity to focus on only each other as the atmosphere was calm and quiet, and because they wanted to be considerate of their relatives from both sides, their wedding was private."
Early in May 2017, Lee Dong-gun wrote a letter to his fans where he revealed that he had already registered his marriage with actress Jo Yoon-hee.
