A star-studded lineup of International and Korean celebrities are set to embrace the 22nd Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) that will commence on October 12 in Busan, South Korea.
Among Korean stars, actor Jang Dong-gun and actress Moon Geun-young will grace the festival.
Jang Dong-gun of movie "V.I.P" and Lee Je-hoon of the film "I Can Speak" will be guests at the Open Talk forum hosted by the Korea Film Reporters Association on October 13 and 14, according to Yonhap News.
Actress Kim Ha Neul and Jang Dong Gun will be the emcees of the BIFF's opening ceremony on October 12.
This year's film festival will have 298 films from 75 countries. It will host 100 world and 29 international premieres.
Actress Moon So-ri will be at the Open Talk event with Japanese actress Nakayama Miho on October 13 that will also have Moon Geun-young, Kim Tae-hoon, Seo Tae-hwa and Im Chung-woon from the movie "Glass Garden" on October 15.
Lee Byung Hyun, Song Seung-heon and Kim Rae-won are reportedly going to attend a seaside event during the festival, the report stated.
American director Oliver Stone of "Platoon" and "Born on the Fourth of July" fame will go to Busan as the head of the jury for BIFF's New Currents category.
Also gracing BIFF are Darren Aronovsky, who directed the Hollywood movie "Mother!" and John Woo, who is described as the godfather of Hong Kong action movies.
Japanese directors Hirokazu Kore-eda, Naomi Kawase and Kiyoshi Kurosawa will also be present along with Japanese stars Aoi Yu and Eita, from the movies "Birds without Names" and "The Ringside Story," respectively.
China's Jia Zhangke and actor Luo Jin, who has 15 million fans on Weibo, will also be in Busan.
Other celebrities who will be seen at BIFF are Nonzee Nimibutr from Thailand, Jean-Pierre Leaud from France, Boo Junfeng from Singapore, and Sho Tsukikawa and Minami Hamabe from Japan.
