'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' is on a running streak in the box office with a collection of $62 million in offshore markets and reaching $100.2 million globally, toppling the record set by 'IT'.
Warner Bros' IT, which had locked the top spot consecutively for two weekends, was overtaken by Fox's 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle'.
The sequel is, in fact, bigger than its debut 'Kingsman: Secret Service', with more than 63% collections so far. Directed by Mathew Vaughn, Kingsman franchise is currently No 1 out of 55, after corrections to the exchange rate.
The action spy drama was released worldwide except South Korea, France, China and Japan. The Kingsman Franchise had scored huge following in this landscape and was one among the top 10 hubs. The sequel is scheduled for release in China on October 20, Korea and the UK on September 27.
'Kingsman: The Golden Service' is adapted from comic book series "Kingsman". The movie features British spy organisation preparing for a new mission along with a statesman. Even "IT" is adapted from Stephen King's novel, revolving around a clown, who creates havoc in the sleepy town of Maine.
Surprisingly, the Kingsman Part 1 'Secret Service' had collected $414.4 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo, with an impressive performance in more than 40 countries earning about $286 million overseas.
In Singapore, where currently "Mother" is leading the Box Office with $315,383 (September 14-17) is followed by animated movie Cars3. The other movies releasing in Singapore this weekend include 'Blade Runner 2049', 'Marvel's Thor Ragnarok' and 'Justice League' Part 1.
