The most-loved School series is back again. We had already reported that the 2017 edition of the series will be aired in July replacing Fight for My Way.
Now, the latest buzz is that actress Kim Yoo Jung has been approached to play the female lead in the series.
Kim Yoo Jung's agency Sidus HQ has confirmed the news through a statement and further revealed that she is considering the role optimistically. It is the seventh instalment of the School series, which was aired from 1999-2002 and then in 2012 and 2015. According to Soompi, School 2017 will show the real lifestyle of students, the hardships they face, and the raw emotions they feel.
Kim Yoo Jung, also known as "Korea's Little Sister" as she was a child actress, is fresh from the success of Love in the Moonlight. The drama was a coming-of-age story and youth romance set during 19th-century Joseon Dynasty based on the novel Moonlight Drawn by Clouds. Recently, In 2017, she was ranked 8th on Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list, the youngest to be included in the Top 10.
Meanwhile, the pretty actress was spotted with a sling and cast on her hand at the Incheon airport early this week. Soon, fans started worrying about the health of the actress. Following this, her agency clarified that it is a minor injury and she is expected to recover quickly.
"Recently, Kim Yoo Jung fell over while jump roping and suffered an injury to her arm. She was not hurt badly, which is why as of now, this will not negatively affect any of her schedules," Soompi quoted the agency. Kim is currently busy with back-to-back fan meetings and events.
