Actress Kim Min Hee wants to slip back into her normal life. The 34-year-old actress, who has reportedly called it quits with director Hong Sang Soo, has expressed the desire to return to the Korean entertainment scene.
Min Hee has been receiving quite a backlash after her so-called scandalous affair went public early this year. Citing her fans' anger, the actress was forced to leave the country. However, after parting ways for good with Sang Soo, Min Hee is desperately seeking a comeback offer.
As per an insider report on Allkpop, the Handmaiden actress has already started networking: "Kim Min Hee started meeting up with her manager again, whom she has avoided since the Cannes Film Festival. She's showing signs of a comeback by discussing how to direct her path, " the site revealed.
Giving insight into the actress's plan of action, the source added: "They are also looking over various movie synopses. Furthermore, she never spoke up about her relationship with director Hong Sang Soo or talked about leaving the industry. A lot of people are still making offers to her. She's an even more of a #1 candidate [for movies] as her recent film, 'The Handmaiden', reached a peak in popularity."
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that the Hill of Freedom director has dropped his rumoured lady love from his next movie, and is currently looking for a female lead. However, the director's upcoming project has not been revealed yet.
