South Korean actress Kim Ji Won is currently trending on Weibo. The 23-year-old actor, who became a known face with her lead role in MBN's What's Up, reached one million followers on the Chinese micro blogging website on June 9.
The actress is said to have achieved a Hallyu status with a big milestone in her kitty. Expressing her gratitude towards her fans, Ji Won uploaded a Thank-You video on her four month old Weibo account.The actress said: "Thank you for helping me reach the 1 million mark. I'm so happy and I promise to work harder in the future. Thank you!"
Kim Ji Won, who rose to fame with her impactful character as First Lieutenant Yoon Myung-ju in the hit series Descendants of the Sun, stated that the KBS2 drama is one of the best things that happened to her which she can unthinkingly vouch on for her future references.
The actress told Naver: "This drama has been a life-changing production for me. Rather than a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I think it has been a turning point in my life. "
"Of course I'm also thankful to all the productions I've done so far because they helped me become who I am today. But I think 'Descendants of the Sun' might become my representative work, " Ji Won added in an early interview with the media outlet.
