National award winning actress Kangana Ranaut is extremely busy shooting for her upcoming movie Manikarnika, a period drama. Reports said that the 30-year-old actress has been taking complete charge of the filming in an effort to make another big milestone in her career.

People who are present on the set of Manikarnika have said that Kangana is taking calls and is fully in control of the on goings there at the shoot. According to sources, "Kangana has been taking complete charge while on the sets. Not only is she improvising but also making changes conveniently, leaving nothing for the makers to decide. Everyone on sets is forced to submit to the actresses demands."

Recently, Kangana's look from the sets of Manikarnika was leaked and it gave rise to rumours that the look was her answer to Deepika Padukone's Padmavati.

However, this is not the first time when the 'Queen' actress has taken complete charge of a film. Similar reports were discussed during the shooting of Simran and Kangana's open battle with writer Apurva Asrani added fuel to that fire.

Manikarnika is an epic biographical film based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The story has been penned by Baahubali scriptwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad, while the movie is being directed by Krish. Zee Studios is producing Manikarnika in association with Kamal Jain.

Kangana will be seen portraying the character of Rani Laxmibai in Manikarnika, while Sonu Sood plays the male lead. Apart from the actors, Suresh Oberoi, Atul Kulkarni, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Ankita Lokhande, Richard Keep, Nihar Pandya and Amit Behl will also be seen in the supporting cast. The film is slated to release on 27 April, 2018.
