Rajinikanth's "Kabali" has hit the screens and has opened to mixed reviews. The movie has hit the screens in three versions (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) and the dubbed Malay version is scheduled for its release on July 29.

The makers have taken an ambitious decision to dub "Kabali" in Malay in Malaysia to reach the larger audience of the country. The presence of international artistes like Winston Chao has given them a strong reason to release it in the official language of Malaysia.

Malik Stream Corporation is distributing "Kabali" in Malaysia. It had organised the film's premiere (Tamil version) on Thursday, July 21, at the Federal theatre in Jalan Raja Laut which was graced by many dignitaries and 100s of Rajinikanth's fans.

The premiere has met with great success and Malik Stream Corporation hopes that "Kabali" would set the box office on fire. Moreover, the prospects of the Malay version is of high importance to the company as the success of the Rajinikanth's film could set a new trend in Kollywood to target the Malaysian audience.

It has to be seen how the Malay version of "Kabali" will be received by the audience, given the fact that the Tamil film has opened to mixed reviews in India and other parts.

"Kabali" is a gangster movie, which is written and directed by Pa Ranjith. Kalaippuli S Thanu has produced the film, which has been released worldwide in over 4500 screens. Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Kishore and a host of actors are seen in the supporting roles.
