Jung Joon Young will be taking legal action against those spreading false rumors about him. The 27-year-old actor's agency, C9 Entertainment will reportedly file complaints against the people involved.
The official statement from the label read: "We've previously stated that we would be taking strict legal action against the one who wrote malicious comments and spread false rumors [about Jung Joon Young]. We've gathered evidence, and are currently moving forward with the lawsuit."
The agency further gave an update on his return in the industry. It stated: "Nothing has been decided yet, but we will let the fans know first when there is news."
Young is having a bad time after reports emerged accusing him of sexual assault. Local news media, Sports Seoul reported that he was being investigated by the Seongdong District police after a woman accused him of sex crime. However, C9 Entertainment released a statement stating that he has been proven to be innocent.
Adding on, Young had recently pulled out from KBS's show, 2 Days & 1 Night and tvN cooking show, Mr. Baek: The Homemade Food Master following the controversy.
