The Runaway Bride has run all her way to the small screen and will star in upcoming limited television series based on Maria Semple's recently released book 'Today will be different'. Julia Roberts' stardom will definitely make it one of the most talked about series of the season.

Annapurna Pictures has grabbed all the film rights of the book and will be producing the series, making it the first television series to be produced under the company's new television initiative led by Sue Naegle.

One of the highest paid Hollywood actresses, Julia Roberts, will play the role of Eleanor Flood, the central character of the book. The story revolves around Eleanor's aspirations and ambition to wake up and have a best day of her life. But she meets a completely different reality everyday as the future unfolds and the best day theme continues to elude her repeatedly.

Maria Semple will write the television adaptation of the book. The novelist is not new in the domain of scripting screenplays and has already written and produced television series like 'Suddenly Susan' and 'Arrested Development'.

Hollywood Reporter reported that on her book being adapted into a TV series the author stated, "I'm giddy that Eleanor Flood will be brought to life by Julia Roberts and am elated to collaborate with Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, and the team at Annapurna on this endeavor. This will be a fun ride!"

The author, who has also featured on The Hollywood Reporter's Most Powerful Authors in Hollywood list, has already collaborated with the same Annapurna pictures and is working on a feature film adaption of her most talked about novel, 'Where'd You Go,Bernadette'. Cate Blanchett is said to star in the movie under Richard Linklater's direction and is joined by Nina Jacobson's production house Color Force.

While Maris Semple's two books are in the process of their anticipated adaptation into TV series and a Hollywood movie, Julia Roberts is in the limelight with the news of her upcoming TV series.
