Variety show "Infinite Challenge" emerged as the No. 1 most favorite TV show by Koreans in September despite its filming being cancelled due to the Middle East Broadcasting Centre (MBC) strike.
Gallup Korea has released the results of its monthly survey among 1,003 respondents who were 19 years old and above in South Korea. The survey is being done monthly since January 2013.
"Infinite Challenge," which stars Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, Park Myeong-su, Jeong Jun-ha and Yang Se-hyung, got 8.2 percent to maintain its top position for the sixth consecutive month since the show made a comeback after it went on hiatus in January for a seven-week reorganization.
The show did not air new episodes in September after MBC employees went on strike last month to demand the resignation of the company's president Kim Jang Gyum.
Despite this, Koreans still picked it as their most favorite TV program.
JTBC's talk show "Ssulzun," which has Kim Gura, Rhyu Si-min and Jun Won-tchack as panelists, claimed second place with 6.5 percent.
The JTBC reality TV show "Hyori's Bed & Breakfast", starring singers Lee Hyori and husband Lee Sang-soon, placed third with 4.4 percent and became popular among women in their 20s in the poll. The show ran from June 25 to September 24.
Drama "Lovers in Bloom," which started in May and will run for 120 episodes on KBS1, is fourth with 4.3 percent while "Knowing Bros" on JTBC is fifth with 4 percent.
Channel tVN's "Three Meals a Day-Sea Ranch," featuring Lee Seo-jin, Eric Mun and Yoon Kyun-sang, is sixth with 3.5 percent while "I Am a Natural Person" of MBN grabbed seventh place with 3.3 percent.
In eight place are the SBS TV program "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2-You Are My Destiny," hosted by Kim Gura and Seo Jang-hoon, and KBS2's "2 Days & 1 Night" which both garnered 2.8 percent.
The SBS reality show "Mom's Diary-My Ugly Duckling" is tenth with 2.7 percent.
