Girl's Generation's Im Yoona is reportedly making a comeback into Korean entertainment scene after three years. The 26-year-old is most likely to appear as a lead in the mystery thriller drama for tvN networks.
On 26 July, the actress's agency, SM entertainment, stated that the hallyu star is reconsidering her role in Korean drama K2. They said: "'K2' is a production that we previously rejected. However, we are looking into it again after another love call." If she accepts the role, Yoona will be sharing her screen space with the talented team of actors including Song Yoon Ah, Ji Chang Wook, and Cho Sung Ha.
Meanwhile, an unnamed source from the industry affirmed that the popular actress from record-breaking Chinese drama "God of War, Zhao Yun" has already taken up the role.
"YoonA will be appearing in tvN's new Friday-Saturday drama 'K2' (tentative title). She was contemplating after receiving the first offer and said that it would be difficult but her casting has been achieved, " the insider told Soomoi. However, Yoona's agency has not confirmed the casting yet.
The upcoming bodyguard romance drama, K2, is scheduled to go air in September and the cast will soon be heading to San Roque, Spain, to film.
