Before the year ends, we seem to have another celebrity couple. Actor Hyun Bin, 34, and actress Kang Sora, 26, have made their relationship public. Bin's agency VAST and Sora's Plum Entertainment have confirmed the same through a press release.
According to the statement, the couple first met last October and grew close ever since. They kept in touch with each other even after Sora moved to a different agency.
The friendship later grew and they started going out. "Back in October, the two actors first met at a meeting regarding business with other staff. Then they remained as good sunbae-hoobaes who shared advice and concerns with each other. They are just now starting their relationship. It's only been a few days since they started seeing each other [as a couple] so they're very cautious about the reports being released at this time. We're even more cautious as their personal matters are being revealed in the midst of a controversial time for the nation. However, please regard them warmly, and give them your support and encouragement for their future acting promotions," a statement from VAST said.
According to Plum Entertainment, the couple started dating only about half a month earlier. They also requested for support from their fans in continuing the newly found relationship.
Kang made his big screen debut with the horror thriller 4th Period Mystery in 2009 and is best known for her roles in comedy entertainer Sunny and hit drama Misaeng. On the other hand, Kim debuted in 2003 and rose to fame with his roles in My Lovely Sam Soon, The World That They Live In and Secret Garden.
Interestingly, after the dating announcement, videos of Hyun's ideal type went viral on the web. In the video, Hyun described his ideal girl as someone who is understanding. He was quoted saying: "Though there are a lot of people who like my job, there aren't that many people who truly understand what it entails." When asked about his marriage plans, he joked that he is going to tie the knot some day.
Well, now it looks like Hyun has found his ideal girl and we welcome one more star couple from the film world.
