Taylor Swift won the album of the year prize at the Grammy Awards on Monday, on a night dominated by Rapper Kendrick Lamar who won five prizes.
Swift bagged three awards out of seven nominations. She got the better of Lamar's critically-acclaimed "To Pimp A Butterfly", which was a favourite to win the album of the year.
The country-turned-pop artist's "1989" was the world's best-selling album of 2014.
Lamar had 11 nominations going into the event.
Bruno Mars and producer Mark Ronson won record of the year for their upbeat track "Uptown Funk!"
British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran won his first Grammy including song of the year for "Thinking Out Loud."
