Google Pixel users have recently been reporting widespread Bluetooth connectivity issues including failed connections in cars, besides random disconnections and switching off. It is believed that the February security update from Google could be the root cause of this issue while the Android maker has acknowledged the problem in its recent post on Pixel User Community forums.
Google has confirmed that it has done its part by rolling out a fix with the server-side update, which will patch up all affected devices using a background service like Google Play Services. Here's what the Google team had to say in its recent post:
"Google has Just finished putting a fix in place for this issue on our end — no downloads or updates to your devices or apps are needed."
Meanwhile, the server-side fix does not seem to have addressed the issue for everyone as some users have reported that the issue still persists on their Pixel devices.
Nevertheless, all affected users are advised to try installing the latest Google Play Services update which was rolled out on 21 March. As the update is probably being rolled out in phases, it may take a few days for the update to become available on your handset.
Users who have not been able to resolve the Bluetooth connectivity problem even after installing the update, may go ahead and escalate the issue via Google's product forums for further assistance from the developer team or technical support team.
