Game of Thrones Premieres April 24 Reuters

Game of Thrones is not likely to air on its usual time frame. The seventh leg of the most sought after series might keep its fans in anticipation till July/August next year.

While HBO has made a habit to launch new episodes in spring, the next season will debut much later in summers. In an interview with the makers of the show, David Benioff and Dan Weiss confirmed that the next leg of the series has been pushed back due to the arrival of winter and white walkers, to be precise.

"We're starting a bit later because at the end of this season, 'Winter is here' - and that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot. " the duo revealed at UFC Unfiltered podcast.

As per Digitalspy reports, Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Lena Headey (Cersei), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime) all signed up for a seventh season back in late 2014. Apparently, the production for the next season has already begun as many of the actors were reportedly spotted flying to Belfast for the shoot. HBO has also released a teaser video to give insight into the mysterious world of season 7. Watch it here:
