Big Bang's G-Dragon emerged on top of the brand reputation rankings among Korean singers for June. G-Dragon generated buzz as he released his new album "Kwon Ji Yong," which topped music charts in and outside Korea.
The 28-year-old singer scored 7.19 million to top the list based on the analysis of 63 million pieces of big data from May 23 to June 24 by the Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation.
Big Bang's leader scored 2.63 million in participation index, 1.86 million in media, 1.74 million in communication and 953,549 in communication.
His new album courted controversy when Gaon Chart refused to include it in album sales, saying that it did not contain music files but only download links.
According to the institute, G-Dragon got scores from stories like topping the Billboard World Albums chart for the second week in a row. He also wrote and composed all the songs in his album. Without any promotion, G-Dragon has won TV music chart trophies.
Keywords associated with G-Dragon include "controversy," "Iink," "USB" and "Big Bang. Based on his score, his positive rate analysis is 52.09 percent.
Placing second is girl group TWICE with 6.73 million while boy band BTS received 5.09 million.
