EXO's Baekhyun, who is stepping into the world of acting, experienced nervy waves in the initial days of filming the drama, Scarlet Heart: Goryeo. Although the 24-year-old has proved his skills as a tremendous singer, however, acting made him go weak in the knees.
In a recent press conference on August 24, the Bucheon born boy group member revealed that he seek advice from his fellow band members and also enquired about the director in anticipation. The singer told Soompi: "Before filming the drama, I asked D.O what the director was like. There are a lot of scary people among directors, and I don't like scary people. But D.O said the director was such a good person that it was very comfortable and fun during shooting."
The debutant actor further stated that his inhibitions were shed after looking at the fellow passionate actors and hard working crew: "It was inspiring how they invested so much time just to create one project. Looking at how passionate everyone was on set, it gave me the chance to reflect on myself."
" I looked at the script countless times to prepare for this drama. I thought a lot about my character, and because [my character's] persona is bright and cheerful just like my actual self, I just acted like how Baekhyun would act in real life, " Allkpop quoted the singer.
Scarlet Heart: Goryeo starring Lee Joon Gi and IU will air its first episode on 29th August. The historical period drama is said to be based on the Chinese novel Bu Bu Jing Xin by Tong Hua.
