Emma Watson has become the latest celebrity to fall victim of a photo leak. The 26-year-old actress is reportedly taking legal action against hackers who stole her private photos and leaked online.
The Beauty and the Beast star's spokesperson said: "Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen. They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further."
This comes after Watson hit back at critics who blamed her for exposing parts of her breasts in Vanity Fair magazine. During an interview with Reuters, she said: "It just always reveals to me how many misconceptions and what a misunderstanding there is about what feminism is."
"Feminism is about giving women choice, feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It's about freedom, it's about liberation, it's about equality... I don't really know what my tits have to do with it. It's very confusing. I'm confused. Most people are confused. No, I'm just always just quietly stunned," she added.
Watson continued:"The shot itself I was honestly slightly taken aback by because we'd been doing so many crazy things on that shoot but it felt incredibly artistic and I've been so creatively involved and engaged with Tim and I'm so thrilled about how interesting and beautiful the photographs were. But yeah, certainly people have asked and I've gone 'Is there a controversy about this?'"
In 2014, the Harry Potter actress was threatened with a leak of personal images after her speech about gender equality as a US Ambassador for Women. Watson said at that time: "I knew it was a hoax, I knew the pictures didn't exist. The minute I stepped up and talked about women's rights I was immediately threatened, within less than 12 hours I was receiving threats."
