Emma Watson, though has a massive fan following, is dead set against taking selfies with fans. The 26-year-old actress, in the interview, revealed that she set a slew of personal rules while interacting with her fans and one among them is "no selfies."
An extract from the interview reads, "For me, it's the difference between being able to have a life and not. If someone takes a photograph of me and posts it, within two seconds they've created a marker of exactly where I am within 10 meters. They can see what I'm wearing and who I'm with. I just can't give that tracking data. I'll say, 'I will sit here and answer every single Harry Potter fandom question you have but I just can't do a picture.' I have to carefully pick and choose my moment to interact. When am I a celebrity sighting versus when am I going to make someone's freakin' week? Children I don't say no to, for example."
The British actress also revealed that people have an obsession for Hermione Granger that put her in a different position from her counterparts. For example, there are fans who have tattooed her face on their body and even used Harry Potter books to fight against cancer. "A big part of me coming to terms with it was accepting that this is not your average circumstances," she explained.
Watson, recently, stunned her fans with a bold photoshoot for the latest issue of Vanity Fair. The actress posed topless with a lace shrug covering her upper body. However, the picture did not go well with many fans and has created trouble for the Beauty and the Beast star. She was termed as hypocritical for posing topless as well as preaching gender equality. While many outraged fans claimed that she cannot be a feminist and a sexual being at the same time, several defended her for preaching true feminist ideals.
