The 22nd edition of one of the largest K-Pop shows of Asia, Dream Concert, will be held on 4 June at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The Dream Concert which is one of its kind, plays host to numerous hallyu stars, along with showcasing mesmerizing performances by the top idol groups.
The 2016 version of the show boasts of its impressive lineup with almost 28 guest acts, including EXO, Taemin, Red Velvet, B1A4, Oh My Girl, Woohyun, VIXX, BTOB, T-ara, G-Friend, HALO, Seventeen, MAMAMOO, Boys Republic, CLC, NU'EST, FIESTAR, 24K, B.I.G, NCT U, LABOUM, IOI, DIA, IMFACT, Wanna.B, Jo Jung Min, and December.
Previously, Soompi confirmed that Super Junior's Leeteuk, actress Kim So Hyun, and actor Hong Jong Hyun will host the big music night, with SEVENTEEN's Mingyu, Jeonghan and Jun backing the chief entertainers.
One can watch the live streaming of the whole show on 4 June, 6 P.M onwards on Mango TV, the online video platform of Chinese Hunan TV, and Naver's mobile streaming service the V app. The concert will also broadcast on television on later dates in Korea and Japan.
In Korea, it will air on 11 June on SBS, on 12 June on SBS MTV and on SBS funE on 13 June. The telecast will also be available on Japan's TBS 1 in July.
Adding on, Dream concert has been garnering quite a lot of attention, lately, from global media due to increasing popularity of K-Pop stars around the world.
According to Korea Entertainment Producer's Association that organizes the concert, the event has a wider coverage in China, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
Lee Nam-kyung, in charge of the concert's promotion, told the media outlet: "The popularity of K-pop and Korean entertainers seems especially heated right now. Chinese media outlets are the ones that are most interested in covering the concert, but we also get a lot of requests from other media companies in other countries."
