Mariah Carey was reportedly upset after her fiance, Australian businessman James Packer played a Beyonce song during a recent date night. The 46-year-old Vision of Love hitmaker allegedly threw the billionaire's laptop out the window.
A source told celebrity gossip website The Fix: "To get her in the mood last month, he turned on [Beyonce's signature smash] 'Crazy in Love', and oh boy, was that a disaster! Mariah threw the computer that was playing it via speakers out the window!"
"Seriously, just trashed it. She ran out of the room screaming. So the night was obviously finished for James, and they retreated to separate parts of the house. And she had a few glasses of wine to cool down," the insider added.
The former American Idol judge has apparently ordered not to play any other female singer's music in her and Packer's house. The source continued: "He put on five bars of 'Waiting for Tonight', and Mariah coughed out her courgette at dinner so James made a bee line for the Spotify and immediately put on Mariah's greatest hits! He has learned never, ever to play another female artist in the house. It's either Mariah, jazz or classical!"
Meanwhile, Carey has completely moved on from estranged husband Nick Cannon and got engaged to Packer in January. Carey was previously married to Cannon and music executive Tommy Mottola in 1993. Packer has also been married twice before. He exchanged vows with first wife Jodhi Meares in 1999 before parting ways in 2002. He separated from his second wife Ericka, with whom he has three children, in 2013.
