The cast and crew of Descendants of the Sun recently received a good news. The production team of the hit Korean TV series awarded them with incentive bonuses for their hard work.
A representative of NEW stated: "The cultural industry company created by KBS and NEW decided to reward everyone who worked hard with incentive bonuses after discussions. There was talk about whether or not they would go on a reward vacation. However, 'Descendants of the Sun' was 100 percent pre-produced so the staff and actors all have their individual schedules now. That's why it was difficult to set a schedule."
Previously, Song Joong-ki said he feels the show belongs to the audience and not the actors. In the hit drama, the 30-year-old actor played the lead role as Captain Yoo Shi Jin. He said during a press conference: "I am aware that there are different thoughts and criticisms (about Descendants of the Sun). I give my unconditional acknowledgment to such feedback, because, after all, the drama belongs to the audience."
Adding on, the Running Man star admitted he is overwhelmed by the global fame. He said: "I am happy to be cited in many news articles in different sections. That makes another reason to study diverse subjects."
