Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have welcomed their first child together. The 30-year-old model took to her Instagram account to reveal the big news.
The baby girl was born on 14 April. She wrote: "She's here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy. ❤️"
The All of Me singer shared his excitement on Twitter. He tweeted: "Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn't be happier!"
Teigen had shared her pregnancy news in October after revealing that she was undergoing IVF in order to conceive. The couple had also openly talked about their decision to choose the gender of their child during the IVF process. She told People at that time: "I've made this decision. Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, 'Let's put in the girl.'"
"I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me," she added. "It excited me to see ... just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along. We'll get there too, so it's not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa — it's crazy!"
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old singer had revealed to E! News how he is preparing for fatherhood. He said: "I feel like, my mentality is just to be open and ready to help with whatever I can. And to be as loving to my wife and to our daughter as much as possible."
"I don't know how you can be ready. We're focused on getting the house ready because we just moved into a new place. But you know, you don't really know how it's going to go until it happens," he added.
