Calvin Harris reportedly wants to be in good terms with former girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The Scottish DJ had revealed that the Bad Blood hitmaker had written lyrics to his hit song, This Is What You Came For.
However, he later lashed out at reports that he did not give due credit to Swift, who worked under the pseudonym, Nils Sjoberg. The 31-year-old tweeted: "I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym. Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though."
"I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do," he added. "I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it. Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you've earned a great one. God bless everyone have a beautiful day."
Harris apparently hopes to put the drama behind them and have a new start. A source told HollywoodLife: "Calvin has been in contact with Taylor and is looking to have a truce with her moving forward. If he can see it is not working out after the drama with his song and everything else, he is considering on moving on as long as she doesn't put up any issues or drama to the situation."
"He is putting it all in her court, he will only react if she does anything to shade him. He isn't going to start any future fights," the insider added.
