'The Battleship Island' director Ryoo Seung-wan and cast members Hwang Jung-min, So Ji-sub and Song Joong-ki were in Singapore on August 8, to promote their hit movie. There they agreed that in the event of a war breaking out, Song Joong-ki would have the best chances of survival.

As noted by website Soompi, 'The Battleship Island' team began their promotional tour with Singapore. At the press conference, the panel guests were asked to name one among them who has the best chance of making it through a war. To this, Hwang Jung-min said, "I think everyone here except Joong Ki will experience pain if we have to perform aggressive movements," causing everyone to laugh.

So Ji-sub added the reason behind choosing Song Joong-ki when he said "He also got out of the army not too long ago so it has to be Joong Ki." Song Joong-ki had a hilarious reply to this, saying, "I'm the youngest so I also think it will be me."

Song Joong-ki added, "I feel like I have lived five years as a soldier if you count the number of years I'd served as a soldier in Korea and the roles I had played in 'Descendants of the Sun' and this movie." Song Joong-ki also said that he felt very comfortable on the set, despite being the youngest male actor among the other leads because his seniors took care of him and gave him a lot of advice.

Inevitably, the question of whether or not he'll work in the future with his bride-to-be Song Hye-kyo, came up. To This, Joong-ki said, "Working with her in the same production is something I would have to give a little more thought to. It will be challenging because work is work after all."

Regarding the question of talent, actor Hwang Jung-min said, "So Ji Sub's acting is very solid and gentle; he reminds me of someone who is very responsible and reliable. Whereas for Song Joong Ki, he's very considerate and working beside him, I felt that his parents had raised him really well."

Soompi also noted that about 5,000 gathered at the Meet and Greet event at Suntec City later that day, to meet the actors. Following these events, 'The Battleship Island' team concluded their Singapore tour with a Gala Premiere of the movie at the MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands.
