The seven-year marker is hovering over the head of South Korean boy band, B2ST. The five-member boy group, which debuted in 2009, is planning to part ways with their inceptual label, Cube Entertainment.
B2ST's 7-year-contract with the label ended on 15 October, and the boys are not in a mood to renew it. As per reports, the multi-lingual band has already discussed their options, and are planning to lay the foundation of their own label. However, an insider from Cube revealed that both the parties have not finalised anything and B2ST is still in talks for the renewal.
"In regards to the contract renewal, we're still in the process of discussing. We have not received any information, therefore we are in a situation where we cannot speak on the matter," the agency told Top Star News.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, band member Yoon Doo Joon hinted at a major change in the group's working environment. In a social media post, the singer wrote: "Thank you, thank you to everyone who came from all over the place. Soon, it'll be our 7th anniversary... A lot of things will change, but hopefully everyone can get used to it quickly!!!! Thank you, B2UTY, B2ST. Everyone worked hard!!!!!! Please continue to take care of us."
"7 years ago at this time, I was awake... Today, I can remember all the memories like it was just yesterday. The second story to B2ST will now start! Everyone, fighting. Thank you. I love you," he added.
B2ST, also stylized as BEAST, debuted in 2009 with their single Bad Girl. The boys has since released two Korean full-length albums, seven Korean mini-albums, one Japanese full-length album and various singles.
