The lates Android Wear 2.0 update was recently obstructed due to a bug that was discovered in the testing stage. But now the Android operating system's update for smartwatches again started rolling out following the quick fix and it has since then rolled out to five more smartwatches.
Wearable first reported that the update was delayed, although it was rolled out to Fossil Q Founder, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10, and Tag Heuer Connected starting on March 29. Following that Google issued a public statement saying the update will pushthrough other devices once the bug is fixed.
As we can see now, the waiting time was rather short. Engadget reported that the bug has finally been fixed and that the Android wear 2.0 is already on its way to the remaining devices.
Fossil Q Wander, Fossil Q Marshal, Nixon Mission, Polar M600, and Michael Kors Access are the brands where currently the OS update will be available. However, a total of 19 smartwatches were supposed to receive the update but it is still not known when the rest 11 smartwatches would finally get the Android Wear 2.0 update. Moto 360 and ZenWatch are also awaiting the update.
The new Android Wear 2.0 update was supposed to roll out to older smartwatches in February but has been delayed for a variety of reasons.
Those who really want the Android Wear 2.0 OS but prefer not to wait for the update may want to consider the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style, the first smartwatches to debut the new OS. The two will be followed by the Huawei Watch 2 which was introduced at the 2017 Mobile World Congress.
