Following the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8, that packs some hugely impressive features, Apple is surely facing some pressure regarding the much talked about launch of their 10-year anniversary special iPhone 8, which could be dubbed iPhone Edition. However, the latest leak shows some sketches of the possible flagship smartphone by the company and it has managed to get some mixed reactions.

According to Trusted Reviews, the leaks were first noticed on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Facebook. The rough sketches of the Apple device's front, as well as back side, was posted by a Weibo user, who goes by the name KK on the social site. According to the post, the drawings were allegedly made by a Foxconn employee who has seen the final design of the upcoming iPhone 8.

Another rumour that has surfaced along with the pictures is that Apple will release the iPhone 8 in October or even later instead of going for the traditional September release.

The leak actually confirms some previous rumours regarding Apple's anniversary launch. It shows the features of iPhone 8's camera, which were considered to be controversial previously. The sketches show that the dual camera is arranged in a vertical fashion at the rear of the smartphone instead of the traditional horizontal fashion. This rumour was first reported by iDrop which said that someone at Foxconn has informed that the flagship device will be called the iPhone Editon and will come with dual cameras arranged vertically instead of the usual horizontal order. These sketches seem to have confirmed that rumour.

In the drawing, the vertically-arranged dual camera is located at the upper left corner. The post also indicated that the cameras will come with 3D functionality as well as augmented reality capabilities.

As per the drawings, the antenna lines are gone and they will now be located on the four corners of the iPhone 8. Another feature confirmed by the sketch is the lack of cutouts for the front camera. This suggests that the camera will be embedded behind the screen, a design that has already been patented by Apple, reported previously.

The home button and touch ID sensor are also not there indicating that they will be incorporated into the screen.
