The SBS legal thriller Defendant again climbed higher than it has ever before, breaking its previous records and achieved the viewership rate of 25.6% for the week of March 13-19, DramaBeans reported.

The popular melodramatic crime show has become so popular that showrunners decided to extend it by one more week and it will be aired on both Monday and Tuesday, March 20 and 21. Originally, it was supposed to air its finale on March 14, Tuesday.

Since it still has one week left, it may quite possibly break its own record and make another leap in numbers.

The Defendant tells the story of Park Jung Woo who is the head prosecutor at the violent crimes investigation division at Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. The main issue arises when he finds himself in prison and doesn't remember as to how he ended up there. Later, he finds out that he is being accused of the murder of his wife and daughter. He tries his best to recover his memory and clear his name from the crime he never committed.

Meanwhile, Introverted Boss managed 1.8%, Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People maintained its rating and didn't fluctuate much, lately. It achieved 10.6 % viewership ratings for the week of March 13-19.

A new drama titled Radiant Office began its run on MBC in the Missing 9 slot. It just started with viewership ratings of 3. 8.

Meanwhile, JTBC's Strong Woman Do Bong-soon is simply making history; it is almost close to the coveted 10% mark which is brilliant for a cable TV drama. It is breaking its own viewership ratings every time and possibly will continue to do so, considering the powerful storyline, amazing cast and their chemistry.
