Even as the rumours of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo's relationship refuse to die down, highly popular South Korean drama 'Descendants of the Sun' received an award for Best Kiss in a drama in an annual international survey. It appears as if the award was tailor-made for the romantic drama.

Website Yibada mentions that 'Descendants of the Sun' received the award for Best Kiss at the 12th Annual Soompi Awards based on votes of South Korean drama viewers and fans from 139 countries. The winners were announced by Soompi on March 2.

'Descendants of the Sun' however, did not win the best South Korean Drama of the year; that honour was given to 'The Legend of the Blue Sea.' Jun Ji-hyun and Lee Min-ho were crowned the 'Spotton Best Couple,' while Lee Min-ho also received the 'Actor of the Year' award.

Song Hye-kyo also bagged the 'Actress of the Year' award for 'Descendants of the Sun,' in the Soompi awards. She beat out tvN drama 'The K2' star Yoona, a Girl's Generation idol, for the top spot. Fans have always adored the beautiful chemistry between the SongSong couple and have even requested the two co-stars to become a real-life couple and start a family together.

Their on-screen kisses for 'Descendants of the Sun' have become the stuff of legends in the Hallyu world. On April 18, director of photography Kim Si-hyeong appeared on KBS's YouTube Show 'Got TV,' where he revealed that Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo had to kiss about a 100 times to create that one perfect take.

Si-hyeong also broke the hearts of countless SongSong fans when he revealed in the same interview that Song Joong-ki addresses to Song Hye-kyo as either his senior or his sister due to the four-year age gap. The co-stars, who are also very good friends, have never really confirmed or denied that they are in love or have plans of getting married.

In a recent interview with a Korean fashion magazine 'W,' Song Hye-kyo, who is 35-years old, talked marriage; how one becomes selective when it comes to choosing a partner and that it gets harder as they grow older. "There are a limited number of people you can meet and you become pickier at judging people. Also, you lose your fantasies about marriage when you hear from those married couples," she said. It seemed from her own admission that she isn't desperate to get married, though it definitely is on her mind.
