The Legend Of The Blue Sea, one of the most popular Korean series that revolves around the relationship between a mermaid named Shim Cheong and conman Heo Joon-jae, will apparently come back with its sequel. But, SBS is yet to reveal their plans to renew the period drama and make the official announcement.
The series completed its 20-episode run in January but the K-drama fans are eagerly waiting to watch their favourite stars Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun on screen with a second installment of the show. They can expect the stars to return with a new set of cast members in The Legend Of The Blue Sea season 2.
There are speculations that since the fictional series concluded by featuring a happy ending for the on-screen couple and teasing a baby on the way for them, this time the show might come back with a time jump.
The second season of the show is likely to focus on Yoo-na, the little mermaid and her relationship with the baby of Heo Joon-jae and Shim Cheong. Well, in that case, it will be quite exciting to find out whether the kid will be a human or a merman.
According to reports, the next season might also feature the child of Cha Shi-ah and Tae-oh as the main antagonist and possibilities are there that it will focus on the character's involvement in the relationship between the two protagonists.
In the new season, the viewers might also get a chance to see Lee Hee-joon, Na Young-hee, Hwang Shin-hye, Sung Dong-il, Moon So-ri, Park Hae-soo, Park Ji-il, Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Jae-won and Lee Ho-jae.
