Beyonce Knowles is reportedly upset with her sister Solange Knowles for dissing Adele and the Grammy Awards 2017.
The 30-year-old singer tweeted a link to Frank Ocean's post explaining his reason for boycotting the award show, just after the Halo hitmaker lost the award to Adele. She wrote: "wuddup frank"
Solange later added: "there have only been two black winners in the last 20 years for album of the year. there have been over 200 black artist who have performed. create your own committees, build your own institutions, give your friends awards, award yourself, and be the gold you wanna hold my g's."
A source told Hollywood Life: "Beyonce thinks her sister's shade and whatever Frank Ocean was saying is rude. Especially after all the kind words that Adele said onstage. Beyonce doesn't need anyone to fight her wars — she finds it very disrespectful and feels that she would have loved to have won, but that Adele deserved it."
Adele was the big winner at the 2017 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on 12 February in Los Angeles. The 28-year-old won a total of five awards, including album of the year for 25 and both record and song of the year for the hit Hello.
During her acceptance speech, Adele tearfully said that she was dedicating the Album of the Year award to Beyonce. She said: "I can't possibly accept this award. And I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful and gracious but my artist of my life is Beyoncé and this album to me, the Lemonade album, was just so monumental, Beyonce. It was so monumental and so well thought out, and so beautiful and soul-bearing. We got to see another side to you that you don't always let us see, and we appreciate that, and all us artists here who adore you. And you are our lives, and the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves, and I love you. I always have and I always will."
The 35-year-old pregnant singer, who was up for nine awards, won the awards for Best Urban Contemporary Album for Lemonade and Best Music Video for Formation during the show.
