South Korean actress Jeon Do-yeon, who is all set to revive her TV drama days, is reportedly paid a hefty salary for her role in tvN's 'Good Wife'.
The 43-year-old actress is returning to small screen after 11 years, and has now become one of the highest paid stars in the entire Korean Cable drama industry. According to a report in Naver, the per episode salary of Jeon Do-yeon is 90 million won (approximately $76,900), which is quite high taking into consideration the industry standards.
While on the other side, Jeon Do-yeon's agency and tvN has dismissed the paycheck rumours. In a press statement, the duo has claimed that the lead actress is paid much less than what has been reported by the media. Meanwhile, the press note did not state the exact salary due to contract confidentiality.
Jeon Do-yeon, who was last seen in 2005 drama 'Lovers in Prague', will be reprising the character played by Juliana Margulies in the original American series 'The Good Wife'. Healer fame Yoo Ji-tae has been roped in to play Jeon Do-yeon's husband in the series.
'Good Wife' is set to be released in July 2016, and it is likely to take over tvN's Monday and Tuesday, 11pm time slot, which is now occupied by drama series 'Oh Hae-Young Again'.
