iPhone and iPad users who are jailbroken on iOS 10 can now relish the Dark mode aka Night mode feature in their device, thanks to the release of Eclipse 4. The fourth iteration of Eclipse brings all the features that were available in its previous release including custom colour settings and colour customisation of individual UI elements as well as whitelisting of apps.
The new Eclipse tweak adds Night mode support across the entire iOS interface wherein the UI elements in the apps are highlighted with a dark theme, making it easier to read at night while also minimising the strain on your eyes.
Existing users who have purchased the Eclipse app can install the new update for free. However, all new users can buy Eclipse 4 for a nominal charge of $0.99.
Dark mode theme will be disabled by default across all apps when the Eclipse tweak is installed. However, you can simply turn on the Night mode for specific apps by navigating to the Enabled Applications section via Settings and enabling the toggle switch for that app.
Note: You must relaunch the app before the Dark/Night mode theme can take effect, after enabling the option via Settings.
Eclipse 4 is available for download via Big Boss repo for Cydia.
