South Korean singer and actress Jihyun has opened up about 4Minute. Cube Entertainment disbanded the South Korean girl band on 16 June 2016.
The girl group, which debuted in 2009, reportedly parted ways due to a conflict in member's futuristic opinions. The girls had received a lot of accolades, including the Bonsang Award at the 20th Seoul Music Awards, and the Kpop New Artist Award at the 2010 Billboard Japan Music Awards.
During an interview with High Cut, the 27-year-old singer said: "Recently, my friends and I went to noraebang. They asked me to sing a 4minute song, and I got strangely sad. It hasn't been a while since we broke up, so right now it's hard for me to smile and think about it. It's still a painful memory."
Adding on, Jihyun revealed she is working on her acting skills. She said: "I go to the label every day to get lessons on acting. I know that I'm incredibly lacking as an actress, so it's true that I was a little hesitant. But I didn't want to run away."
"In the beginning, I didn't know any better and thought of myself as experienced. I even had useless pride. But I saw myself acting and realized immediately that I was a rookie, and that I should work harder," she added.
