Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are not engaged. Rumours about their engagement started after the former One Direction singer got a new love tattoo on his hand, and the model was spotted wearing a gold band on her ring finger.
A source told Hollywood Life: "Zayn and Gigi are definitely not engaged, sometimes a tattoo is just a tattoo, and a ring is just a ring! They're both still so young right now, so marriage isn't on the cards just yet — plus they are both really super focused on their careers right now, they don't have time for distractions."
"I wouldn't be surprised though if an engagement is on the cards in the future however. They are absolutely crazy about each other, and head over heels in love. They're a great couple, super chill and adorable," the insider added.
Rumours that Perrie Edwards' former boyfriend and Hadid are romantically involved started after the two were spotted in the same car following the American Music Awards after-party at Los Angeles' The Nice Guy club on 24 November 2015.
Meanwhile, the 20-year-old Victoria's Secret model and Malik had posed together during Vogue photoshoot. She gushed about working with Malik to E! News at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards: "I wish I could be on set with him every day. It doesn't feel like work when he's there."
"It was really fun. We had the best time. It was an adventure to go where we shot it. He is a very good model. He's so naturally good looking," Hadid added.
