Lindsay Lohan has sparked rumors that she may have already converted to Islam.
The 30-year-old actress shared the Arabic greeting, Alaikum salam, on her Instagram account. The Arabic words which means Peace be unto you, is a standard salutation among Muslims.
In 2016, Lohan had revealed that she is learning about Islam. She told The Sun newspaper: "I'm a very spiritual person and I'm really open to learning. America has portrayed holding a Koran in such a different way to what it actually is. We all believe in something and at the end of the day it all ties to a god or a spiritual adviser."
The Mean Girls star, who was raised as a Catholic, has shown deep interest in other religions. In 2012, she had reportedly joined Courtney Love's Buddhist chanting group.
Previously, during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Lohan revealed she is a "very spiritual person". She said: "I'm a very spiritual person and I've become more spiritual as time has gone on. I'm really in touch, whether it's prayer or meditation... there are so many powers greater than me in the world. I've been blessed and lucky enough to have been given a gift to share with other people."
