Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton share a strong bond together. However, the 40-year-old actor is having a hard time bonding with her children.
According to Star magazine, Stefani's sons are not a fan of Shelton. A source said: "Blake gets along great with [youngest son] Apollo, but he can be a bit awkward around Kingston and Zuma."
"Blake tries so hard, but this is all new to him — and he's got some big shoes to fill. All [the boys] know is that they started seeing a lot less of their dad ever since Blake showed up on the scene. They blame him for the upheaval in their lives," the insider added.
In July 2015, Blake and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce after four years of marriage. The couple released a statement to E! News saying: "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
The following month, Gwen and Gavin Rossdale revealed they are splitting after 13 years of marriage. They said in a joint statement: "While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment. To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."
