Longest-running boy band in the history of K-pop will be appearing on season 3 of popular South Korean variety show 'Happy Together,' it has been revealed. The band will also be touring Taiwan in February, next year.

Website Allkpop mentioned having got confirmation that the six-member boy band will indeed join 'Happy Together' as guest participants. The show will be filmed on January 7 and will likely be broadcast in mid-January, mentioned Allkpop.

Previously, it was learned that Shinhwa would be appearing in 2016 MBC Gayo Daejejun awards show, slated for December 31. They will also perform at the 2016 KBS Gayo Daejun, website Soompi reported. With these, the boy band group will end their nine-year hiatus from awards shows. The last time Shinhwa attended an end-of-the-year music festival was way back in the year 2007.

"Shinhwa recently made the decision to attend the 2016 KBS Gayo Daejun," a representative of Shinhwa Company stated, mentions website Soompi. "They are currently working hard to create the best performance possible, so please keep an eye out for them," the representative added.

Shinhwa, it was previously reported, would also join another South Korean variety show, 'Weekly Idol,' Allkpop learned. South Korean television network MBC Every 1 broke this news, saying "Shinhwa, who will be coming back in January, have confirmed to be appearing. The staff members and many others are looking forward to an amazing broadcast. The Shinhwa members themselves are also burning with their will."

Previously, two members of the band, Andy and Hyesung, had appeared on 'Weekly Idol.' This is the first time the group will appear together on the show. Shinhwa's episode will air in mid-January, mentions Allkpop.

As for their Taiwan tour, the boy band of six will be making their first stop at the island-nation as they embark on their international tour next year, reports icrt.com.tw. Their '2017 Shinhwa LIVE – Unchanging' tour will begin at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei on February 4. Tickets to the event will go on sale from January 7, at 11am. Shinhwa debuted under SM Entertainment on 1998 with the six members, Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin, and Andy Lee, who have all remained part of the group today, even after almost two decades have gone by. Their latest album 'Unchanging' perhaps alludes to their bond and friendship. Their first-ever single was titled 'Resolver,' in March 24, 1998.
